How are these pretty things made?

Our designs get printed onto a range of products, and we use a couple of different suppliers. So I have asked the suppliers, how are these pretty things made?

T-shirts, vests and tote bags

This is made with the Direct to Garment printing method, which is like standard inkjet printing where a print head passes over the garment and lays down colour inks based on your artwork. It is a digital method capable of high-quality prints using as many colours as required.

Our inks are vegan and eco-friendly! That means: 

• No toxins in the ink.
• No animal by-products used to create the ink, and not tested on animals.
• Safe for use on products for both adults and children.
• OEKO-TEX® certified.

Swimwear 

For swimwear, designs are printed on two different fabrics; Slinky Matt Lycra, Lycra Soft Sheen.

Slinky Matt Lycra glides over the body smoothly and provides great support and form, making it perfect for personalised swimwear. Lycra is the ideal platform for printing bold, colourful and intricate designs.

Slightly less supportive than Slinky Matt Lycra, however, our beautiful Lycra Soft Sheen is characterised by its shimmery surface, which makes prints and designs seem to come alive. This Lycra fabric makes a wonderful fashion swimsuit, which will look fresh and contemporary.

Each swimsuit and bikini is made to order especially for you. To make the swimwear the design is printed onto fabric, cut out, and sewn by hand, to ensure you receive a truly unique swimsuit.

The beachwear is also printed with water-based inks, this means no chemicals or solvents are used. We have a heat fixing procedure, which fixes the design and avoids the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. 

Mugs, and Water Canisters

This is made with Dye sublimation printing method that transfers dye from sublimation paper to your product. It is more versatile than direct to garment since dye sublimation is possible for products like mugs and phone cases.

Our sublimation inks are all water-based and toxin free. We currently have confirmations that the inks for certain products are vegan friendly. 

For mugs that means: 

• Vegan friendly! 
• No toxins in the ink.
• No animal by-products used to create the ink, and not tested on animals.
• Safe for use on products for both adults and children.
• OEKO-TEX® certified.
